Sharpness Docks: North Warehouse roof repairs
Sharpness Docks: North Warehouse December 2012

Extensive repairs to roof completed

It has been a long time coming but extensive repairs to the roof and luccams (bag houses) were carried out in the latter part of 2012 by the Canal and River Trust. A small group of fit and intrepid GSIA Committee members climbed the scaffolding in August to see the work at first hand, courtesy of David Viner the CRT's Heritage Advisor for the South West. We are also grateful to David for this fine picture of the newly repaired roof taken from the top of the nearby concrete grain silo.
