The choice of visits after the meeting will be a walk round Cheltenham's ornamental ironwork, Leckhampton quarries and tramroads and Saul Junction (Gloucester & Sharpness and Stroudwater canals).

Cheltenham's Ornamental Ironwork
Our Guides will be Geoff and Elaine North. Duration about 1-1.5 hours. The key reference to this subject is the book Cheltenham's Ornamental Ironwork by GSIA President, Miss Amina Chatwin. Lots of reasonably priced copies (£4-£6) avaible on ABE

Leckhampton quarries and tramroads

Saul Junction (Gloucester & Sharpness and Stroudwater canals)
Our guide will be Hugh Conway-Jones. Duration about 1-1.5 hours. Hugh researched the area when GSIA were helping in a 'Big Lottery Bid in 2007 for funds to restore this part of the Stroudwater Canal. You can download the article that appearred in the GSIA Jourmal by clicking here.
